I saw this New York Times article, which appeared in the Dining and Wine section, mentioned on Slice. The article also features a nice, quick interactive audio and pictorial review of eight of the new breed of pizzerias in New York City including Lucali (which just had a fire and is temporarily closed), Roberta’s, Motorino, Co., Franny’s, Veloce Pizzeria, Una Pizza Napoletana and Keste Pizza & Vino.

Una Pizza Napoletana
The audio and pictorial review is a fun, quick watch for any pizza lover. Hover your mouse arrow over one of the pictures of a pizzeria to bring up the “click to listen” prompt and click to get to the pop-up-window window which has the audio feed. Click the play arrow towards the bottom left of the pop-up-window to hear Time’s Chief Restaurant Critic, Frank Bruni, chime in on these pizzerias as a pictorial slide show progresses while he speaks.
As a side note, with Lucali suffering from a fire and opening in one to two weeks, they may open at or around the time Totonno’s Coney Island location, which suffered a much more damaging fire earlier this year, re-opens. This will make for a nice Pizzablogger one-two “rising from the ashes” visit to New York sometime later this month.
